Head coach Kalen DeBoer is rumored to be bringing in Arizona Cardinals scouting assistant Stephen Wise and Georgia Tech's executive director of recruiting, Alex Mathis, to his coaching team for the 2026 season.
While their exact roles are yet to be revealed, Alabama's recent departures have left some intriguing vacancies. Eron Hodges, formerly the associate director of player personnel, has moved on to become the general manager at Oregon State, and Jerret McElwain, the former assistant director of player personnel, has taken up a director role at Kentucky.

Stephen Wise, with five seasons under his belt in the NFL, has been the Cardinals' representative with the National Football Scouting service since his promotion in 2024. After three years at UCF, where he rose from assistant director of player personnel to executive director of recruiting, Mathis spent eight years coaching and coordinating recruiting at various Georgia high schools.
