Costco is expanding its empire! Three new stores are set to open this month, and that's just the beginning. These new locations are part of a strategic plan to fill in existing markets and venture into new ones.
But wait, there's more! CEO Ron Vachris has revealed that the company aims to open approximately 30 new warehouses annually in the United States starting in 2027. These new stores will feature expanded parking lots, gas stations, and technology upgrades, including self-checkout changes. However, before these new stores open, Costco members should note that all warehouses will be closed for 24 hours on Easter Sunday, April 5th, as part of the company's annual holiday observance.
Speaking of membership, Costco has some strict rules that shoppers should be aware of. The primary cardholder must be the one making purchases, and they can add one free household cardholder from the same address. Guests are welcome, but only members can buy goods. For an additional fee, authorized cardholders who don't live at the same address can be added, allowing them to shop independently.
As for treats, Costco has brought back two seasonal favorites: Cinnamon Chip Muffins and Caramel Apple Strudel Bites. These delicious goodies are available in the bakery section for a limited time, so grab them while you can!
