She cares for her parents and visits Flaggrass Hill Road daily, and she describes the road as "like driving through a lake".
The road is used by more than just agricultural machinery, and when Elm Road is shut, traffic uses it as a diversion. Emma Watts, who lives on Flaggrass Hill Road, says the surface is deteriorating every year and that the properties and cars are being ruined. She has been in touch with the council, but nothing has been done.
Cambridgeshire County Council has acknowledged the deterioration of the road and says repair works are due to start shortly and are expected to be completed by the end of next week. However, some residents are skeptical about the effectiveness of the repairs, as highways workmen have been out to fill the potholes before, but the repairs "didn't last long".
The council encourages residents to report issues via their website, but some residents are calling for more action to be taken to address the problem.
