A true champion emerges! Miss Envy, the Western Australian star, has left an indelible mark on the racing world with her incredible performance at The Meadows. But here's where it gets controversial...
In a thrilling display of speed and determination, Miss Envy, a daughter of Aston Dee Bee and Miss America, claimed her third Group 1 title, the Sportsbet Rookie Rebel, in a breathtaking 34.24 seconds. This victory solidifies her status as a middle-distance powerhouse.
Despite a short break from the racetrack since January, Miss Envy's momentum remained unwavering. Her trainers, Steve and Krystal Shinners, had high expectations, and rightfully so, after her impressive trial at The Meadows.
"She's a lion-hearted warrior, and we couldn't be prouder," Steve Shinners exclaimed.
But the road to this triumph wasn't without its challenges. Miss Envy spent time in Victoria under the guidance of respected trainers Kel and Jackie Greenough, who played a crucial role in her preparation.
"A heartfelt thank you to Kel and Jackie for their dedication. We're thrilled to share this success with them," Shinners added.
The win, however, wasn't without its hurdles. Miss Envy faced setbacks after her Sandown appearance, making this victory even more satisfying for her connections.
"We persevered through those challenges, and seeing her win her third Group race is an incredible feeling," Shinners shared.
Now, Miss Envy returns home to Western Australia, with her sights set on the prestigious Group 1 Perth Cup. And this is the part most people miss...
After the Perth Cup, the Shinners have their eyes on the Sandgroper, having received several calls of interest.
So, what's next for Miss Envy? Will she continue her winning streak? The future looks bright for this talented chaser.
