Texas is on the hunt for another tight end, and they've set their sights on four-star recruit Zac Fares, who is scheduled to visit Austin for an official visit on June 19-21. Fares, a 6-foot-5, 220-pound prospect ranked as the No. 8 tight end in the country by Rivals, is a top target for the Longhorns. The team already has one tight end in the 2027 class, JT Geraci, but they're looking to add another to their roster. Fares' top schools back in December included Texas, Oklahoma, Miami, UNLV, USC, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Washington. He's taken unofficial visits to Texas, Texas A&M, U-Dub, and Ohio State, giving the Buckeyes a slight advantage due to his hometown of Toledo, Ohio. However, the buzz surrounding Oklahoma today is significant. Texas TE coach Jeff Banks is a big fan of Fares, and the Longhorns are eager to secure two tight ends in this class. Fares is ranked as the No. 202 overall prospect, No. 13 tight end, and No. 2 rated player in Nevada for the Class of 2027 by the Rivals Industry Rankings. His ranking as the No. 8-ranked tight end in the country by Rivals further solidifies his status as a top recruit. The Longhorns are determined to add another tight end to their roster, and Fares is a key target in their pursuit.
